#WeMissYouBig, Diddy creating memorial tribute with fans help

Sean “Diddy” Combs is working on something special to celebrate an old friend.

March 9, 2017 marks the 20-year anniversary of Christoper “The Notorious B.I.G” Wallace’s death. In 1997, he was tragically murdered in a drive-by after leaving a party in Los Angeles. Diddy is using this anniversary to celebrate his memory and wants help from his fans.

“Hey what’s up everybody? Today is March 9 and 20 years ago today, we lost the greatest rapper of all time, the Notorious B.I.G,” Diddy said via Instagram. “Today, we’re gonna celebrate his life through his music and through his legacy.”

Diddy’ video on Instagram included video clips of Biggie highlighting memorial moments of his rap career. With help from fans he’s looking to add to this montage.

“So check this out, this is what I want you to do: I want you to rap your favorite Biggie verse and post it with the hashtag #WeMissYouBIG and I’m gonna chop it up, edit it up, everything,” Diddy said. “We’re gonna put out something special with all the fans and friends and family involved to celebrate the Notorious B.I.G.’s life.”
